Platelet-rich plasma (PRP), is simply blood that contains a high concentration of platelets and plasma. These components naturally circulate in the blood, aiding the body in clotting, releasing growth factors, and promote healing on a cellular level.
PRP facial rejuvenation uses a concentration of platelets and plasma from your own blood to regenerate your skin. It works by stimulating your body’s natural healing processes and encouraging the production of collagen, elastin, and proteins that are key in revitalizing skin appearance.
Improved skin texture
Minimize the appearance of acne scars or other imperfections (i.e. Stretch marks)
Minimize pores
Improved hair quality and volume
Stimulate connective tissue regeneration, collagen, and elastin production; resulting in a reduction fine lines and wrinkles
Restore lost volume and fullness from the aging process (skin will tighten and appear more lifted)
Patients will begin noticing improvements in skin within one week following treatment, with results progressively improving over the next 6 to 12 months, with the majority of benefits reached within 6 months. It is recommended that patients receive 3-4 treatments spaced at 4-6 week intervals. The results of PRP facial rejuvenation are long term with most patients receiving touch up treatments once a year to further stimulate collagen production and continued facial rejuvenation.
